The purpose of Monkey and Mom is to offer reviews, resources and tips for homeschoolers, while keeping it all personal, through our lens, so that homeschool parents can easily relate to all the content.

My hope is that each of you will find something you need here or at least a starting point for further research.

How much time does this take?

Each blog post takes about 2 weeks to write and edit. As you’ve noticed, my articles are pretty long and I’ll do my best to keep them that way, so that I present every possible angle to you, my readers.

Each video takes at least one week to plan, shoot, edit and post and each social media post takes hours.

I am a full time homeschool mom, I have to keep up with our lessons while doing house chores and I work as a photographer for 6 months a year as well.

So my schedule is very tight, running everything, with the blog taking a huge chunk of my free time or even homeschooling time.

Where does the money come from?

As you’ve already noticed, I don’t have a shop (yet) and I don’t do Google Advertising on my website (yet).

I want to keep this environment as clean as possible, but running a website and subsequent pages and social media requires a lot of time and sometimes (more often than not) money.

As much as I wish to be able to pay it all on my own, I cannot afford that, especially as it’s growing. As a consequence, I accept doing paid promotions and use affiliate links when possible, on my website. You might see endorsed pages ads on my website and some might be paid advertising while others are just my own heartfelt recommendations.

Despite all that, the opinions I voice on this website and all the pages related to it on social media are my own. I won’t accept doing paid reviews where I am required to give out positive feedback if I don’t enjoy the resource. Nor will I recommend products I wouldn’t use in my own homeschool.

Here’s how you can help support me.

1. Donations

I appreciate each and every donation, no matter how small. These amounts will go towards paying for my domain and website hosting so I can keep the blog running.

You can find my PayPal buttons throughout the site and in my printable pdfs.

2. Affiliation

You can choose to buy through my links every time you need to buy something for your family. The price of the product will stay the same for you and I might get a small commission out of this if the purchase qualifies. This money will go towards purchasing licenses for the software or stock images I am using to run this website.

You can find all the shops I am affiliated with here: https://monkeyandmom.com/favorites/

Monkeyandmom.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

3. Advertising

While I don’t have Google Ads on my website, I can offer advertising space for the companies I like. Please contact me to let me know about your product.

4. Sharing is caring

Every little bit counts. If you can’t support me in any other way but you like my content, I’d appreciate it if you shared my website with your homeschool friends, if you watched my Youtube videos, if you subscribed to my content and followed me on social media.

This all helps me to get a higher reach and hopefully support my page that way.

Thank you!

As you can see, I am only a homeschool mom that is sharing her opinions with you.

I hope to be able to do this for a long time, so every little bit of help from you matters.

I want to send special thanks to my loyal readers and my new and old followers.
