The purpose of Monkey and Mom is to offer reviews, resources, and tips for homeschoolers, while keeping it all personal, through our lens, so that homeschool parents can easily relate to all the content.

My hope is that each of you will find something you need here or at least a starting point for further research.

How much time does this take to write a good blog post?

Each blog post takes about 2 weeks to write and edit. My articles are pretty long and I’ll do my best to keep them that way, so that I present every possible angle to you, my readers. Each video takes at least one week to plan, shoot, edit, and post; and each social media post takes hours.

I am a full-time homeschool mom, and I have to keep up with our lessons while doing house chores, so my schedule is very tight, with the blog taking a huge chunk of my free time.

Where does your blog money come from?

As you’ve already noticed, I don’t have a shop (yet) and I don’t do Google Advertising on my website (yet).

As much as I wish to be able to pay it all on my own, I cannot afford that, especially as it’s growing. As a consequence, I accept doing paid promotions and use affiliate links when possible, on my website. You might see endorsed pages ads on my website and some might be paid advertising while others are just my own heartfelt recommendations.

I want to keep this environment as clean as possible, but running a website and subsequent pages and social media requires a lot of time and sometimes (more often than not) money.

Despite all that, the opinions I voice on this website and all the pages related to it on social media are my own. I won’t accept doing paid reviews where I am required to give out positive feedback if I don’t enjoy the resource. Nor will I recommend products I wouldn’t use in my own homeschool.
